Policies and regulations

Deposits

A booking deposit is required for all rental units at the time of booking. This deposit is used to hold your reservation and will go towards your reservation at the time of checkout.

Additionally a security deposit is required at the time of departure. For those paying by cash, this deposit will be required at the time of departure. This deposit will be refunded when the rental unit is returned and deemed clean, undamaged, and gas and propane are "full".

For those paying by credit card, the merchant processor will hold those funds available without charging your card.The merchant processor will not charge your card when the rental unit is returned and deemed clean, undamaged, and gas and propane are "full".

Deposits Required (To Reserve):    Motorhomes - $500.00,      Travel Trailers - $300.00,     Tent & Cargo Trailers - $200.00              (Reservation deposits will be applied to the rental)

​CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations must be in writing. These are our refund terms:

When a cancellation occurs 30 days or more prior to the reservation date, the full booking deposit minus a $25 service fee will be refunded.

When a cancellation occurs within 20-29 days  prior to the reservation date, 50% of the booking deposit will be refunded.

When a cancellation occurs less than 20 days  prior to the reservation date, no refund will be given.

GENERATORS

When renting an RV, you will need power for using Air Conditioning, Heating, Microwaves, etc.  If you are staying at a place that has "plug ins" for electricity etc., you are good to go. If not, you will need a generator.

Motor Homes have built in generators and you are given 2 hours free use of the generators for each day you rent. Usage above that will be charged $4 per hour.

For Trailer rentals, you will need a 2000 watt generator to run normal electric loads.  For air conditioning or heating, you will need a 4000 watt generator. Here are the rates for rental generators:

Free Standing Generators:

2000 watts:  $110 for four days (Additional $25 per day after that)

4000 watts:  $165 for four days (Additional $37 per day after that)

 

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

Kitchen Packages (each set serves 4 guests):           $65 entire trip ($10 per additional person)

Large Plates, Salad Plates, bowls, cups, mugs, large mixing bowl, small mixing bowl, strainer, pitcher, dish strainer, cutting board, set of measuring cups, stock pot, medium sauce pan, medium frying pan, dish towels, drying towels, hot pads

Linen Packages (each set serves 4 guests):               $65 entire trip ($10 per additional person)

Blankets, fitted sheets, flat sheets, extra pillow case, large towels, hand towels, wash clothes, pillows with pillow cases, (large comforter on request)

Propane Fire Pits  $35.00 per trip

(Includes 10' propane hose and Propane Cylinder - propane used is extra)

SMORES Kits $10.00 per kit

(Includes 1 box of graham crackers, 6 Hershey chocolate bars, 1 Bag of Marshmallows, and one extendable cooking "fork")

EQUALIZER Hitches $45.00 per trip ($55.00 if requested on day of pick up)

While optional, equalizer hitches are highly recommended for hauling trailers as they minimize "sway". Don't wait until day of to request the hitch (as it costs more and you risk not having one available at the time of your pick up)

TOW Kits $75.00 per trip

Need to tow something special with your Motor Home. Let us connect your tow kit to the back end of your motorhome.

Toilet Paper and Septic Chemicals: $6 per 4 rolls of TP, $3.50 for Septic Chemicals

Using the proper disposable toilet paper and treating your septic rinse with proper chemicals will help in keeping plumbing unclogged and working properly.

Generators:

Motorhomes - all have built in generators. Renters receive 2 free hours per day. Beyond that a $4 per hour rate is charged.

Free Standing Generators:

2000 watts:  $110 for four days (Additional $25 per day after that)

4000 watts:  $165 for four days (Additional $37 per day after that)

Awnings: $25 per trip (Tent trailers do not come with Awnings)

CLEANING

When you check out your rental unit, you will go through  a "walk through" showing the interior and exterior cleanliness of the vehicle.  This is the condition in which your rental unit must be returned.  If cleaning is needed, the following applicable charges will be added to your account:

Interior Cleaning  $75.00

Exterior Cleaning  $75.00

Waste Dumping    $25.00                                 Potential Total:    $175.00

Or you can simply pay a just $99 cleaning fee at check out and leave all of the cleaning to us!  We will take care of all cleaning  (interior and exterior) and waste dumping for you upon your return - this way, there is really no reason for you to have to spend time on your vacation worrying about cleaning your rental unit at the conclusion of your rental!

INSURANCE

All rental units are required to have full comprehensive, collision and liability insurance coverage.

All rental agreements will include insurance coverage fees unless you provide us with us an insurance binder showing proof of coverage of the rental unit.

Insurance Cost:

Motorhomes - Diesel      $30.00 per day . ($1,000 deductible*)

Motorhomes - Gas          $27.00 per day .  ($1,000 deductible*)

Travel Trailers                 $  8.00 per day .  ($   500 deductible*)

Tent/Cargo Trailers        $  5.00 per day .  ($   500 deductible*)

(Deductible will be "authorized" on your credit card for the duration of your trip but will not be charged to your card unless damage is noted upon your return)

If reservation is paid for in cash, a cash deposit equal to the damage deductible will be required at Check Out. This cash deposit will be returned upon Check In if no damage was incurred.

 

 

FUEL

All motorhomes leave our lot with full tanks of fuel. They must be returned with full tanks fo fuel.

For your convenience, you may return the unit with less than a full tank-the following charges will apply:

Between 3/4 tank and full:       $50.00

Between 1/2 and 3/4 full:         $100.00

Between 1/4 and 1/2 full:          $150.00

Between empty and 1/4 full:    $200.00

LOWEST PRICE POLICY

While we take great pride in offering newer models and those with wonderful amenities, we recognize that some of our customers are still looking for price as their ultimate priority when renting an RV.

If you can provide us a written estimate from a reputable rental company in Utah, that is comparable in terms of model year, size, sleeping capacity, and amenities - and assuming we have a comparable model available for the dates you have in mind for your trip - we will happily beat your written estimate by 10%.

Simply call one of our reservations and they will have you email over your written estimate. They will research the estimate to make sure your quoted unit is comparable to one  of ours. They will then check availability for you.  If your estimate is comparable and available, they will book your reservation and BEAT your estimate by 10%!

 

Trailer Delivery, Set Up and Return

Utah RV Rentals is happy to provide assistance in delivering your trailer, setting it up, and then picking it up for you at the conclusion of your rental.

$2.60 per mile while towing (To/From your location and To/From Utah RV Rentals) will be charged

($50.00 minimum for this service is required)

PETS

Although we love and own pets, we do not allow pets in any of our motorhomes or trailers (due to the allergy concerns for others).

Upon check in, if there is evidence of pets having been in the unit(s), the reservation deposit will be forfeited and not applied to the rental; but rather it will be used to completely clean and disinfect the rental unit.

SMOKING

No smoking is allowed in any Motorhome or Trailer.

Upon check in, if there is evidence of smoking in the unit(s), the reservation deposit will be forfeited and not applied to the rental; but rather it will be used to completely clean and disinfect the rental unit.

One Way Motorhome Rentals

Utah RV Rental will accommodate requests for one way Motorhome rentals. The following charges will be added:

Cost of one way airfare to your drop off city (for our driver)

$2.60 per mile from your drop off back to Utah RV Rentals

Actual fuel charges incurred from your drop off destination back to Utah RV Rentals

Return miles will be added to your overall rental miles-so additional mileage charges may apply

Location Restrictions

Utah RV Rentals does NOT allow any of our rental units to travel to BURNINGMAN. A charge of $3000 will be charged to the card on file if found that unit went to Burningman.

Utah RV Rentals does NOT allow any of our rental units to travel to MEXICO.
